Dharma Swara Dance needs to build on their skills and artistry (and wardrobe!) to continue sharing Balinese culture through dance in New York and beyond.
We are looking to increase our skills and repertoire with some of Bali's preeminent teachers. To do so, we need to travel to these artists who are often based in other parts of the United States ...and hopefully one day, even to Bali. Conversely, we would also bring artists to New York for workshops and short-term residencies. All this to dance even better and bring more works to our audiences!
An important part of our performances are the beautiful costumes. These intricate and ornate pieces are paramount and often unique to the story of each dance piece - they provide much of the awe that is the visual feast of our performances. These costumes can become quite costly and usually, can only be sourced in Bali. Help us look the part and also impossibly gorgeous!
