Founded in 1989 and based in Queens, Gamelan Dharma Swara is one of the preeminent gamelan ensembles in the US, whose musicians and dancers perform traditional repertoire alongside new works that explore the vast possibilities of gamelan, the distinctive Southeast Asian percussion orchestra.
