STEVE DEBELLIS

Steven DeBellis is a New York based drummer, percussionist, educator, and composer. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Long Island University, and a Masters Degree in Jazz Studies/Performance from the Aaron Copeland School of Music at Queens College. He first experienced Gamelan as a grad student at QC in 2015 and has been an active member of Gamelan Yowana Sari since. Steve has been to Bali three times in the past decade, performing, studying, and acquiring new instruments with each trip. He looks forward to expanding his love and knowledge of Balinese Gamelan as a member of Dharma Swara.
