Samir Chopra

MUSIC

Samir is a musician and visual artist from New Haven, CT. They studied music for several years- mostly voice and piano, but have always wanted to explore percussion. They were excited by the energy and complex rhythms of Dharma Swara's Chinatown night market performance. Samir loves playing with the ensemble and learning new instruments and pieces since then, and is now a teacher for the Dharma Swara’s youth gamelan group.
