Members of Gamelan Dharma Swara present an evening of traditional music for gamelan gendér wayang. One of the most ancient gamelan ensembles existing in Bali, gendér wayang occupies a central role in the Balinese cultural fabric. From accompanying life-cycle rituals such as coming-of-age ceremonies and cremations, to providing musical entertainment for shadow puppet theater, the refined sounds of gendér wayangcan always be heard wafting through the island.
